Community & Technical Colleges
Are our students both Willing
and Able to think critically?

At program entry the capacity to evaluate the critical thinking skills and dispositions of incoming students, individually and as a group, provides vital data for tailoring student success services to the needs of specific students. In addition to the potential benefits for each student, these data permit the development and the assessment of these programs. And the success of the students in their classes and in their adjustment to the complexities of college life predicts stronger retention, degree completion and transfer rates.

For other educational purposes, such as program evaluation, accreditation or learning outcomes assessment, exit data on students' critical thinking can be expeditiously gathered using our valid, reliable and cost-effective measurement tools. Independent research demonstrates that these data can establish the extent to which students are achieving the essential educational goal of growth in critical thinking.

Insight Assessment offers a robust set of critical thinking instruments designed for Community and Technical College students. All are available for on-line or in paper & pencil administration.
