Introducing the Updated Insight Assessment Reporting Experience

Your Results. Easier to access, understand, and put to work.

Assessment data can tell you a great deal about a group. But getting value from that information starts with being able to clearly understand what the results are telling you.

That’s why we’ve redesigned reporting features with accessibility and usability in mind; making it easier for more people to navigate, interpret, and work with assessment results.

The update includes redesigned Group Results Reports and an updated Detailed Results Workbook, giving you a clearer way to understand group performance and explore the individual results behind it.

Clearer document structure, built-in guidance, more accessible data visualizations, and additional context throughout help you spend less time figuring out how to read your results and more tire understanding what they mean.

Start with the Big Picture

The redesigned reports are structured to help you understand what you’re reviewing before you dive into the data.

At the beginning of each report, you’ll find an overview of the assessment and group, an at a glance summary of the report, and a new Before You Begin section explaining what the report incudes.

You’ll also see how many results are included in the group statistics and important information about Insight Assessment’s minimum data-quality criteria; including where to find submitted records that may not be included in the exported Group Report PDF.

From there, a redesigned summary brings together descriptive statistics across each reported scale, including mean, median, standard deviation, minimum and maximum scores, and quartiles. Built-in explanations provide additional context for understanding these statistical measures.

Not a statistician? You don't need to be.

A new “How to Read the Table” guide explains each statistical measure directly within the report, so the information you need to interpret the results is available where you need it.

See Where Your Group's Scores Fall

An average can tell you something about a group. But it doesn’t tell the whole story.

Redesigned score-distribution charts show how scores are spread across the group and put those scores directly in the context of the assessment’s performance ranges.

Performance levels are identified using clear labels, score ranges, visual patterns, and color—so the charts don’t rely on color alone to communicate meaning.

The result is a visualization that helps you see both the distribution of scores and what those scores mean within the assessment’s reporting framework.

Move from Overall Performance to the Details

Once you understand the big picture, the report makes it easy to explore each measured skill or attribute in greater detail.

Dedicated pages bring together the key information for each skill or attribute measured by the assessment, including descriptive statistics, score distributions, performance ranges, and interpretive information.

Each section also includes a clearly identified “What this skill measures” explanation, helping you connect the scores you see with the thinking skill or attribute being assessed.

A consistent page structure and clear heading make it easier to move from one measured area to the next and find the same types of information throughout the report.

Dig Deeper into Your Results

For customers who want to explore the individual assessment records behind their group results, the accompanying detailed results workbook has been updated too.

The Individual Assessment Results workbook provides participant-level results in a structured, filterable format, including assessment scores, completion information, assignment details, and participant information when collected.

A new About This Workbook tab provides additional guidance directly within the file, explaining what the workbook contains, what each record represents, and important differences between the workbook and the Group Report PDF.

In particular, the workbook retains submitted assessment records that may not meet the minimum data-quality criteria for inclusion in the Group Report PDF. The new guidance makes that distinction clear, so customers can better understand the information they are reviewing.

New! Download your Results Directly

Getting your results is easier, too.

You can now download your Group Report and Detailed Results Workbook directly from your Insight Assessment account—no need to email the files to yourself first.

Download either file when you need it, making it faster and easier to access, save, and work with your results.

Designed with More Users in Mind

Accessibility and usability were central to this redesign. From clearer document structure and descriptive headings to built-in guidance and visualizations that don’t rely on color alone, the new Group Reports are designed to make assessment results easier for more people to navigate and understand.

Whether you’re reviewing the performance of a class, cohort, team, or other group, you can move more easily from an overview of group performance to the statistics, distributions, and individual skill or attribute results behind it.

Same trusted assessment results. A more accessible and intuitive way to understand and use them.
