College Student Success Package

Overview

The College Student Success Package is calibrated to measure the critical thinking of first year undergraduate, college level transfers and adult re-entry students.  The two-part College Student Success (CSS) assessment uses everyday scenarios to measure the strength of the reasoning skills and the mindset required of successful learners and workers.

Critical thinking is a process which requires strong skills. But, like anything that requires strong skills to achieve success, the individual or team of people engaging in that process must have the motivation to apply their skills to reach their goal.

A comprehensive assessment of a person’s critical thinking abilities, therefore, requires measuring skills and mindset attributes (dispositions).  The College Success Package is designed to meet the need for objective meaningful measures to identify the students most ready to learn and those in need of learning support programs.
