Modules

INSIGHT Development Program presents a suite of 18 proven online training modules designed to improve employee thinking.  Modules feature application of targeted skills and mindset attributes to genuine workplace decisions and problems.  The training is based on recognized definitions of essential core critical thinking skills and mindset attributes required for success in business, professional and personal life.  Each training module requires approximately 30-60 minutes.

INSIGHT Development Program includes three series of modules:

  • The Big Picture: Introductory modules clarify the definition of critical thinking, demonstrate the importance of critical thinking, and differentiate between the skills dimension and the mindset dimension of critical thinking.
  • The Decision Skills Series: These modules stimulate a better understanding of the impact of problem-solving skills and provide strategies to avoid common errors.
  • the Thinking Mindset Series: These modules focus on the personal attributes that support strength in reasoning and decision-making.

Modules do not require specific content knowledge. This makes the program valuable as a new hire onboarding tool. Current employees also benefit from these professional development and quality improvement tools.

Assessment

A comprehensive analysis of skills and mindset attributes using our industry leading assessments is included for each participant. Reports analyze individual strengths and weaknesses.  The insights and strategies gained from the INSIGHT Development Program continue to bring value long after the program has been completed.

Part One measures 10 mindset attributes including approaches to problem-solving, resourcefulness, tolerance, commitment and professionalism.

Part Two  measures critical thinking skills such as problem analysis, evaluating alternative, anticipating outcomes, quantitative reasoning and Overall strength of critical thinking.

Most clients choose to assess prior to training. Adding assessment after the completion of training documents improvement in skills and mindset.

INSIGHT thinking skills and reasoning mindset assessments efficiently identify strengths and weaknesses in employee individual and group skills.

The INSIGHT assessment report package provides numerical and categorical scores for each of the 15 key aspects of decision-making. Group reports display aggregated statistics and bar-charts for each INSIGHT metric.  Printable individual reports document specific strengths and areas for growth.

Validated metrics permit validation of the success of the training program. Trainees receive the opportunity to focus on self-improvement in skills they personally value.

User Manuals provide comprehensive information how to optimally interpret INSIGHT results reports.

Administration of INSIGHT Development Program

INSIGHT Development Program is designed to be used as an independent study but can also be used to supplement existing training programs. The flexible online structure permits employees to work at their own pace, controlling their time on task and progress.   Training can be offered in module progressive format as well as the popular option of controlled assignments.

Secure, encrypted online training and testing is available 24x7x365 with our multilingual delivery options. The online test-taker interface is easy to use, data encrypted and flexible. Tests can be assigned to be taken within any window of time which meets the client’s needs. Each test is scored as soon as the test taker submits responses to the items on the test.
